Rumor is a low prey drive dog who excels at bossing stock and
keeping watch over his pack. He is intensely protective of his
family and will defend his stock. He is powerful enough to keep
a hog off the person with the feed bucket and gentle enough to
catch and hold poultry with his paws when instructed. If the
chickens escape, he puts them back in. He will alert to
trespassing creatures, holding them cornered until instructed to
dispatch them. Rumor has little interest in hunting vermin and
small pests, but will take care of them if he is instructed. He
is a moderately soft dog who takes criticism well and seeks to
please. He generally gets along with other dogs, although he
doesn't like other males. He is tolerant of children, but a
little more skeptical of strange adults. |
