Cindy is a
tag-along dog who has learned to herd by appropriate positive
and negative reinforcement. She has worked sheep, goats,
cattle and geese. She has a lot of prey drive and does
best with less flighty stock. She uses different styles in
different situations. Sometimes she crouches when herding,
using eye to control stock, and sometimes she uses dominance
behaviors. She barks often when herding. Cindy herds
independently, returning escapees to their proper pen without
instruction. She loves babies and defends her livestock
when they are threatened. Her owner sold a foal.
When the man tried to take the foal home, Cindy let him know
that was HER baby. She knows her territory and stays on
it, guarding it from all strange dogs and predators. She
routinely hunts vermin and is a willing fighter with large or
vicious prey. She is a moderately soft dog who loves her
master. She is wary of other strangers but is called off
easily once introduced.
