Bubba works on a sheep and poultry farm. There are several breeds of sheep on his farm. Some are easy and gentle but there are some nasty, mean individuals. Bubba can easily stroll through the pasture with most of the sheep giving no notice but when a ram comes close and threatens his master, he will use whatever force is necessary to ensure his master's safety. He is very good at moving the poultry out to graze and keeping them in their proper areas. Bubba bonds closely with the bottle babies. He will bark at newly introduced flock members, once he realizes they are staying he accepts them. He knows his territory and stays home. He announces the arrival of strangers. He has treed squirrels and regularly hunts vermin. Bubba was acquired as an older pup and was a fairly soft dog throughout his adolescence, but he has gained confidence as he's matured. He still takes correction to heart but he will hang in there to see the job through. |
