Gypsy has worked dexter
cattle, goats, chickens, ducks. She absolutely loves moving
cattle, the goats and
poultry
don't need
much
moving but she does push them back where she thinks they should
be.
Gypsy
excels at herding our Dexter cattle, it comes very natural to
her. She drives and circles the herd where they need to go
almost as though there’s an invisible lasso around them, seldom
barking.
Gypsy usually grips on the
hock occasionally on the heel sometimes the tail.
Gypsy has cornered prey and stood barking
for help for a period of time. She utilizes tracking
skills to find rodents and other pests such as raccoons.
Gypsy
is my daughters playmate letting her cover her in dirt,
lay on her and remove her collar a dozen times a day.
She stays very alert
when I’m milking the cow and goats making sure I’m not
bothered always watching my back. She wants the
livestock in their place always moving the poultry back
to the coop. She has a soft, playful and nurturing side,
letting the kittens snuggle with her.
Gypsy listens to
direction and is not easily discouraged.
Gypsy alerts the family
when someone has come in the front drive.
