A proficient herder, Mac will grip on the neck or shoulder if necessary and using shouldering to control/herd the rooster. He prefers to gather but will drive if the situation calls for that. A devoted dog that always has his master's back, Mac will not allow the aggressive rooster to come close. He has learned to stand his ground with difficult sheep, but to give the ewes with lambs plenty of room. Mac is proficient at killing Rabbits Mac barks when visitors arrive, but has never shown any further evidence of aggression. He usually is aloof with strangers but sometimes after a proper introduction, he will let them pet him.
