Abby is a farm dog with cattle, goats, and poultry. She gathers the animals into the pens and guards gates well. She works in tandem with her owner to get the herding work done. She is gentle and careful with baby goats and is upset when they cry. She is also known to visit the brooding pens to check on the well-being. She takes great care not to step on chicks. Abby is aware of predatory birds and stays home to guard her territory. She thinks for herself but is acutely aware of what will her master tells her.
