Mac will grip on the nose or ear if necessary. He prefers to drive and easily commands the respect of the livestock. A devoted dog that always has his master's back, Max is works independently to maintain rules of territory and exhibits careful protection of baby livestock. Max has never met a person he doesn't love. He treats visitors as though they have come specifically to pet him and can be a real pest the first five minutes or so- then he calms down. works goats chickens and horses. Max watches the gate,
seldom barks but alerts to escapees and always returns them to
their proper pen.
